Matching this text with the Lectionary

  1. Be strong in the Faith. Moses was faithful in his work. Never asking what was in it for him or what the final objective was to be. The Promised Land was promised but no time frame or conditions along with it. Moses simply led with a faithful heart. That Joshua led the people in was of little matter. What mattered was the journey. When we become concerned with what God has planned for us we separate from Him. It is not for us to ask, only to be faithful to Him and serve those who are in need. If we take the focus off God then we are not consumed with Him but with ourselves. Never question the Word just do the Work faithfully and unselfishly.
